Michael Ybarra '98

Michael is co-founder and managing member of Ybarra PLLC, a law firm focused on the needs of innovators, creatives, and investors in Austin and New York City. Outside of the office, he teaches business law at institutions as varied as The University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business, Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Germany, and the International Law Institute’s African Centre for Legal Excellence in Kampala, Uganda. Michael is a graduate of St. Stephen’s, Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and New York University School of Law. He and his partner Andrew spend their spare time walking fairly well-behaved rescue dogs, fixing up old various old houses, and restoring wildlife habitat at their family farm in Smithville.
