Spartan Athletes of the Week: Donnica Armstrong '25 & Henry Shore '25
Henry Shore '25 has been an engine for the Spartan offense recently. As a striker, Shore’s dynamic play has put him in a place to net quality goals for Boys Varsity Soccer. Last Saturday, Shore recorded a hat-trick in the team’s dominant 6-0 victory over Awty International (Houston) last weekend.
“We liked what we saw from Henry this past outing against Awty,” commented Soccer Program Head Shane Maguire. “We often remind Henry to be patient and trust the process. He’s embraced this mindset, and the results are now beginning to speak for themselves on the pitch.”
Donnica Armstrong ‘25 has dominated the court in the last few games for Girls Varsity Basketball. She had a standout performance against Liberal Arts and Science Academy (LASA), tallying 15 points, 4 rebounds, 5 deflections, and 2 steals to lead the team on both ends of the court. In the team’s 36-31 victory over St. Michael’s Catholic Academy, Armstrong contributed 18 points, 8 rebounds, 8 deflections, 5 steals, and 2 assists.
“She’s putting up impressive stats, averaging 17.5 points, 5 rebounds, 3.5 deflections, and 1.5 steals per game,” remarked Head Coach Dustin Armstrong. “In her senior year, she’s more determined than ever to leave her mark, making a difference for both her team and her school!”
