Spartans Participate in Visual Arts Scholastic Event
Every year the Texas Art Education Association hosts regional art events for high school students. The mission of the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) is to recognize exemplary student achievement in the visual arts by providing high school art students and programs a standard of excellence.
Congratulations to the following Spartan artists, who participated in the Region 13N VASE during the weekend of Feb. 5-6. Participants included Jaden Alvarez, Leo Brainard, Selina Lu, Isabella Ratcliff, Leela Weisser, Eric Xie, Chelsea Xue and Jerry Zhang. Their submissions were judged on a standards-based rubric of creative visual expression and written reflections, along with their citation of reference sketches and research.
