E.P.I.C. Teammates of the Week: Perry Waters and Vivian Burke

Tennis is in the Spartan Spotlight this week as we highlight two athletes as the EPIC Teammates of the WEEK!

 

In his second year playing tennis for the Spartan Tennis team, seventh grader Perry Waters has worked his way up the ladder to the intermediate level. Perry is a dedicated player, always taking advantage of the opportunities given to him by his coaches. "Perry gives 100% at practice and during matches,” said Coach Alix Kautz. “He always asks to play more! He loves tennis and strives to get better every day!" Perry's passion, commitment and drive for excellence makes Perry this week's EPIC Teammate!

 

Eighth grader Vivian Burke shares a similar work ethic and desire to improve! Vivian loves playing doubles with her friends and has stepped up to compete at the next level with her doubles partner. They have even created a celebratory routine for every point they win. Coach Kautz said this about Vivian:  "Vivian has worked so hard every single minute at practice. She comes with a smile, follows directions and is always flexible to switch groups. I loved watching her compete last week, representing St. Stephen's in the best possible way with her positive attitude and a big smile!" 

 

Congratulations to both Perry and Vivian and good luck to the Spartan Tennis Team as they compete in the Austin Inter-Parochial League (AIPL) Tournament April 30-May 3 at St. Stephen’s!
