Spartan Athletes of the Week: Graham Boles & Will Perkins
Graham Boles ’25 finished first overall at the St. Andrew’s Invitational on Saturday, helping his team take home first place in the Boys Varsity race. Boles ran at a 5:13 mile pace for the 5k event and recorded a personal best, crossing the finish line at 16:11.
“Graham's season is off to an exceptional start,” commented Cross Country Program Head Greg Cook. “His standout performance was pivotal in leading the team to an overall team title.”
Spartan runners compete again this Friday, September 13 at the Hays CISD Cross Country Invitational at 5 Mile Dam Park in San Marcos.
Will Perkins ’25 played a key role in leading the Boys Varsity Volleyball team to a third-place finish at the Houston Cup Tournament. At the opposite position, Perkins managed the team’s attack throughout the tournament, recording 37 kills on 93 attempts for a .301 hitting percentage.
“Will was an excellent example of a great teammate this past weekend,” remarked Head Coach Dakota Goin. “He played a crucial role in our team’s success and was a key voice on the team.”
Perkins and his team will travel to Dallas on Friday and Saturday to take on Southwest Preparatory Conference opponents St. Mark’s and Greenhill.
