Spartan Athletes of the Week: Donnica Armstrong & Charlie Dugan
Donnica Armstrong ’25 has dominated the court for Girls Varsity Volleyball this fall. On Tuesday night in the Varsity match against Brentwood Christian, Armstrong notched 19 kills on 49 attempts. While opponents often identify her as a defensive standout, Armstrong finished Tuesday’s match with 24 points.
Armstrong and her teammates travel on Friday to face Trinity Valley (Fort Wort, TX) and battle Episcopal School of Dallas (Dallas, TX) on Saturday.
Charlie Dugan ’25 was instrumental in the Boys Varsity Volleyball victory over Greenhill last Saturday. Dugan’s offensive prowess and defensive performance were notable in the team’s reverse sweep over the Hornets. Dugan recorded 13 aces and 5 blocks in the five-set match.
Dugan and the rest of this team take on a couple of Fort Worth teams over the weekend on the Spartans’ home court. The squad battles Fort Worth Country Day School (Fort Worth, TX) on Friday at 5 pm and Trinity Valley (Fort Wort, TX) on Saturday at 11 am.
