Spartan Athletes of the Week: Audrey Wan and Oscar Whiteley Bermeo

Audrey Wan '25 continued her senior season with a strong performance last Saturday at the St. Andrew’s Private School Invitational. Wan finished the 5k race in 19:33, securing 9th place overall and a medal in a meet featuring every school in the Southwest Preparatory Conference. 

“Audrey's hard work this season is paying off as she continues improving every meet,” commended Cross Country Head Coach Greg Cook. “I can't wait to see her finish out the season at the SPC Championship Meet in two weeks.”

Oscar Whiteley Bermeo '27 ran a solid race on Saturday to earn a medal and finish 10th overall. Whiteley Bermeo’s time of 16:41 is a personal best. Perhaps more impressive, his performance also represents an improvement of more than four minutes from the same meet last year. 

 

“Oscar's improvement has been well-earned with consistency and hard work,” remarked Cross Country Head Coach Greg Cook. “His upward trajectory is clearly a result of the time and energy he’s put into training.”
