One Dorm Brings Home Gold as the Spartan Residential Community Competes in Dorm Olympics
Energized St. Stephen's boarding students stepped onto Denius Field wearing eye black and outfitted in their matching team dorm shirts. The students' agility, speed and precision were tested in events like the Sack Race, Ball Relay, Dizzy Izzy Race and the Water Balloon Slingshot Catch.
The fun and friendly, annual competition is aimed at helping students build relationships. Jack He ’28, a new boarding student from Hong Kong who lives in Wycliff Dorm, said the water balloon challenge was by far his favorite event because everyone on his team was really hyped up for it.
“I enjoyed the teamwork and camaraderie within our dorm,” said He. “[We were] proud of ourselves as we were all honest and played with integrity in all of the games.”
The gold and congratulations goes to the young men of Towner Dorm who took home the first place trophy in the 2024 Dorm Olympics, along with House Leader Mr. Oberle, and dorm parents Coach Patterson, Mr. Smith and Coach King!
